Synopsis:
‘The Toboggan’
is a short film about a kid and his search for a little bit of happiness.
Alva is a ten year-old kid who heads to a hill near his house looking to
have some fun tobogganing but instead runs into a bully. While
retreating home he is befriended by a little girl who offers to let him use
her sled, the one he’s always dreamed of playing on. In the
process of having fun, he finds a new friend and a little bit of hope.
THE TOBOGGAN is
an OFFICIAL SELECTION of the Oscar-qualifying Chicago
International Children's Film Festival which
runs from October 21-30th 2011.
This is a 35mm short film funded by the
Ontario Arts Council.
